SAP, several ways.
Retrieve data at print time through remote function calls or SOAP, receive data pushed as XML on SAP events, or let SAP initiate printing directly with no operator involvement.
The wider estate.
SAP, Oracle, iSeries and SQL environments among others, with a SOAP interface for PLM and ERP systems and support for web services.
A repository, not a silo.
ROBAR can receive and version-control variable data that is mastered in other systems, with both pull and push integration, so it does not demand ownership of data that already has an owner.
Inspection and serialization.
Automated 100% label inspection for verification and barcode grading, and correct barcodes mapped to the right packaging aggregation levels, with data arriving through integration with major serialization engines.
Where RONOVA fits.
RONOVA is not a repudiation of ROBAR. It is the same control model, change management with the reason captured, full audit history, electronic signature, rebuilt for how manufacturing estates are run now. The reason to believe RONOVA does that properly is that Innovatum has been doing it in regulated environments since 1993, and ROBAR is where that was learned.
Two differences decide it in practice. RONOVA is browser-based throughout, including printing, so there is no client software to install, patch and qualify at each site. And it resolves what each market requires from a single product record, rather than maintaining parallel label sets per market. If a multi-site estate and its qualification burden is your problem, that is the answer. If your infrastructure or your compliance position calls for an on-premises deployment, ROBAR remains the one that does it.
Nobody has to choose from a web page. Sizing for either is based on your workstation and printer combinations, your printing workflows, active users, and the integrations you need, which is a conversation.

Can I still buy ROBAR?
Yes. ROBAR is available to customers who want it, and Innovatum will size and quote it. RONOVA is the newer platform and is where most new deployments go, but ROBAR is a supported product rather than a museum piece, and for some manufacturers it is the better fit.
Is ROBAR hosted or on premises?
Either. ROBAR can be deployed as a hosted solution or installed on premises, depending on your infrastructure and your compliance preferences.
Should I choose ROBAR or RONOVA?
It depends on what your estate makes expensive. RONOVA is browser-based throughout, including printing, so there is no client software to install, patch and qualify at each site, and it resolves market-specific content from one product record. ROBAR can be deployed on premises, which for some organisations is the deciding factor.
